Mission Accomplished:President Celebrates Victory

May 1, 2012

.

How much did this cost and what was accomplished?

On May 1, 2003, President Bush stood underneath a “Mission Accomplished” banner and announced that “Major combat operations have ended.”In the battle of Iraq, the United States and our allies have prevailed.”

Compared to this.

And today at the 1 year anniversary the rethugs are saying that the President is celebrating and using bin Ladens’ death for political gain.

I have yet to see it. I think that he has the right to make that ‘Mission Accomplished’ failure celebration look like an afternoon tea.
